A Place to Knit

Renowned knitting teacher and designer Elizabeth Zimmerman once said, "Properly practiced, knitting soothes the troubled spirit, and it doesn't hurt the untroubled spirit, either." Surely designating a space in the home for the sole purpose of knitting lifts the spirit even further, regardless of its current state.  For the table runner, I followed Frankie Brown's "Curvy Bookmarks" pattern, using size US 3 needles and Isaac Mizrahi Craft Isaac's Colorways Merino Blend yarn in the color Golden Pear. For the tablecloth, I heavily modified Elizabeth Zimmerman's "Pi Shawl (July)"  pattern, using size US 7 knitting needles and South West Trading Company Oasis yarn in the color Cranberry. Sadly, I don't remember which size knitting needles and which yarn brand I used to make the dress and headband, but I do recall that for the dress, I modified Elaine Baker's "Itty Bitty Baby Doll Wardrobe"  pattern, and for the headband, I cre...
