A Bit of Privacy & Relaxation

Now that the bathroom downstairs is decorated, it's time to focus on the one upstairs.

The bathtub actually came with my dollhouse, so all I did was add some polyester stuffing to simulate bubbles.

The plant is from a set of candles that I purchased on Amazon.

I'm quite proud of the shower curtain and rod, both of which I made myself without following any instructions. (Lots of trial and error, I assure you.)

For the curtain, I cast on 43 stitches using size US 5 knitting needles and Loops & Threads Baby Rainbow yarn in the color Lavender. Next, I worked 4 rows of Twisted Single Rib, followed by 1 row of Eyelets, 2 more rows of Twisted Single Rib, and 62 rows of Mock English Rib. (See below for more details.) Finally, I bound off all stitches in pattern.

For the shower rod anchors, I attached 2 hollow cylindrical buttons to opposite walls of the bathroom. For the rod itself, I used wire cutters to remove the bottom portion of a metal clothes hanger and trimmed it to size. Then, there was nothing left to do but weave the shower rod through the eyelets of the curtain and set it between the anchors.

For all my fellow knitters out there, here are the instructions for all 3 stitch patterns featured in the shower curtain, from top to bottom:

R2: (p1, k1tbl); rep to last st, p1
