A Change of Bedding

Change isn't always easy or pleasant, but sometimes it's both, such as replacing the old comforter and pillow set with a new set.

I'm particularly pleased with how the miniature comforter turned out. Using US 9 knitting needles and Patons North America Classic Wool Roving yarn in the color Aran, I worked Garter Stitch for the first and last 2 rows and King Charles Brocade Stitch for the rows in between. Then I attached some fringe to the sides of the comforter, using Katia Hechizo yarn in the color Gold.

For the pillow, I used the same gold yarn but different sized knitting needles, US 6 instead of 9. Again, I worked Garter Stitch for the first and last 2 rows and King Charles Brocade Stitch for the rows in between, creating the first rectangle. I repeated the process for the second rectangle, then seamed the rectangles together and inserted some stuffing.

Sweet dreams, once again.
